About Us

Hello, I'm Aneisha Velazquez. I worked as a freelance interpreter for 8+ years and felt the frustrations that come with doing my own bookkeeping as a solopreneur.

I started Yellow Sky Bookkeeping in 2022 to help other small business owners understand their books and not stress about doing taxes. Bookkeeping cleanups and catchups quickly became my favorite part of the process.

Yellow Sky Bookkeeping now focuses on getting messy books caught up for small business owners, bookkeepers, and tax professionals. I love the moment when small business owners see their exact revenue, total expenses, and profit for the first time. They feel relief to see that yes, they did actually make money last year and they can actually pay themselves. And they can finally file their taxes!

I believe that abundance starts with giving your money the attention it needs so you can have the revenue you want. For a small business, that means getting the books in order with a bookkeeping cleanup/catchup.

Q: What services do you provide?
A: We specialize in organizing your business financial records so a business can easily file taxes, have accurate profit and loss statements, and understand what happened with its money. Once the books are organized, we offer ongoing bookkeeping maintenance to a select few businesses.

Q: How do I start working with you?
A: Schedule a free discovery call with us.

Q: What happens during the first call?
A: We ask about your business, explain the cleanup process, and answer your questions. If we're a good fit, then we also review your records (on the call or after) to provide a quote.

Q: What do I need to get a quote?
A: Be able to access to your accounting software. If you don't use software, have the last 2 months of business bank and credit card statements with you.

Q: Do you file taxes?
A: No, we partner with your tax professional to ensure your business can file taxes.

Q: Does the quote expire?
A: Yes, the quote is for a specific time period with an estimated start date. As time passes, the quote and the start date need updating.

Q: What are your payment and refund policies?
A: We initiate all payments through our payment processor. Cleanup projects require a nonrefundable retainer. There are no refunds for work in progress.
